| SHOREVIEW - The Minnesota Association of Professional Employees (MAPE) has endorsed State Auditor Rebecca Otto for reelection.
"As our budget situation continues to worsen, it will be vitally important that we keep our financial house in order. That is why we support Rebecca Otto," said MAPE Executive Director Jim Monroe. "Like we did when she first ran in 2006, we are proud to endorse Rebecca in 2010."
Throughout her term, State Auditor Rebecca Otto has been a proud supporter of MAPE, our members and our legislation. As a member of the State Board of Investment, Otto has provided exemplary oversight of our members' pension investments.
As the largest union of professional state employees in Minnesota, MAPE has more than 12,700 members, including many in the office of the State Auditor. MAPE is committed to finding innovative budget saving solutions. MAPE has presented the governor and legislative leaders with millions of dollars in cost-saving ideas.
"MAPE looks forward to partnering with Rebecca for another four years. We will continue working together to solve our budget crisis," Monroe said.
